Tvornica Cementa Umag d.o.o. established 1956.
The factory Tvornica cementa Umag covers an area of 65 acres in the Cow cape and systematically working on the landscaping. The terrain is widely gently passed around the coast, almost flat and no karst phenomena. Near the coast, the average width of 10.0 m terrain falls to sea level. Right next to the fence of the complex plant is an open channel stormwater drainage system to drain rainwater wider average width of 6.0 – 8.0 m.

Seabed in the bay was formed long process of sedimentation of fine silt particles terigenog origin issued Moela creek and stormwater drainage channel along the factory. Depth in a small cove with Fiandara less than 1 meter up to 70-80 meters away from the coast, and then rise by one meter for every additional 30-40 meters.

The area belongs geologically to the Cretaceous period which is characterized by plate layered gray and brown limestone, with an average thickness of 200-300 m in pedological terms of the area’s red soil loessivized, anthropogenized, deep, rocky surface of 2-10%, 0-8% slope, rigolano partly from red soil and red soil typical.
The area has a similar climate as well as the entire western Istria, and this means an average of 750-800 mm of rainfall during the year, a very rare snow retains more than 1-2 days, mist frequently in late autumn and early spring, a large number of sunny days, the average summer temperature of about 21.5 degrees Celsius and average winter temperatures about 6.3 degrees Celsius. As the dominant wind in Istria, bora (NE) is the weakest area in the intensity and frequency in relation to the rest of Istria and the Gulf of Trieste and less influence on the formation of waves, while the south (SE) creates high waves, but the bay protected by a breakwater Fiandara industrial port. From the standpoint of the most significant maritime mistral (NW), which blows during the summer, light intensity and punenat (W), which significantly affects the sea changes and Lebic (SW), which can blow the stronger shocks.

The average temperature ranges between 8 degrees Celsius in winter and 23.5 degrees Celsius in summer, salinity is around 3.75% and 3.45% in winter in summer, and gradijantske current amounts from 0.1 to 0.4 knots, tidal currents up to 0.3 knots. Wave heights are usually 0.5 to 1.5 meters, which corresponds to the situation must be III. according to the WMO scale, but significant incidence of 2.0 to 2.5 m (sea state IV).
Mean tidal amplitude is approximately 60 cm and the mean amplitude of extreme approximately 80 cm. In extreme cases, and Tramontana winds can reduce sea level up to 50 cm, and the south could cause a rise in levels of up to 150 cm. In extreme cases of strong (100-year period) superposition of components and the tidal wave of extreme waves under the influence of winds from the W and SW quadrants actual size of the wave can be larger than 3.0 m, which should be taken into account when maneuvering procedures at entry and exit, and the bora can reach a value of 30 to 40 knots.

End of one story and the beginning of a new story
Of special mention is the way to cure any existing quarrying, where the same pit below sea level in order to obtain a large body of water mean depth of 4.0 meters and where restocking is carried out. Also, each year is done regularly and afforestation has so far planted over 6000 different plants. In order to achieve more efficient preventive fire protection, raised the sheep that are thus a natural regulator of care. To mention is that other areas intensively farmed grains and olive oil.
